The chairs, which are crafted of solid Beech, feature a dark mahogany stain and are brimming with character. The set spent the last 25 years living in a barn and in that time acquired an absolutely amazing patina to the wood. They look like they're 100 years old (in the best way). The chairs have been meticulously restored without removing that amazing patinated look to the frame. Each chair was \u003cem\u003every\u003c\/em\u003e lightly sanded and oiled so as to preserve the patina while at the same time bring a soft, smooth feel to the frames. The seats and back have been reupholstered in Josef Frank Svenskt Tenn \"Catleya\" linen textile, with earthy shades of brown, green and yellow. The whimsical pattern contrasts delightfully against the rustic, dark wood frame. These small scale dining chairs feature wonderful craftsmanship, with gracefully curved backs and bases and playful ball detailing. They are very comfortable and look good with literally everything.
