This significantly proportioned and extremely rare "Nohoga" sofa was designed by Christian Liaigre and manufactured by Holly Hunt in 2009. The monumental scale gives the piece an absolutely striking presence, and the superior materials ensure that this heirloom quality sofa will endure a lifetime of use. The sofa features thick, solid oak construction with beautiful Japanese-style joinery and an overall incredibly solid frame. The thick feather and foam seat cushions allow for optimal comfort and are upholstered in a luxurious, ribbed silk and linen fabric. The plump, rectangular back cushions (also feather and foam) are covered in a warm beige cowhide with a "cowlick" running down the middle of each cushion front. The chunky oak frame has been lovingly refinished from top to bottom and is soft and smooth to the touch. The sofa provides an altogether opulent, spacious lounging experience with ample room for one person to lay down and have a nap while another person sits cozily on the other end. This sofa is in overall gorgeous restored condition and is ready to be placed in a worthy interior.
This sofa was purchased for ~$17,000 in 2009 by the original owner. A copy of the original receipt available upon request.
