A spectacular early model '901' bar cart by Alvar Aalto, manufactured by Artek in the 1950s. This uncommon original example features a solid birch frame with black linoleum surfaces and lacquered wooden wheels with rubber tread. This wonderful artifact has been lovingly restored without compromising the unique wear and patina. The birch wood has been lightly sanded and oiled, all joints have been re-glued and tightened, and the linoleum has been thoroughly cleaned. It is extremely solid and sturdy. Lots of age consistent patina to the black surfaces, as well as various cosmetic patina throughout. In our opinion, this only adds more charm. Ready for use! All original hardware intact, and signed to the bottom "Artek". These early examples don't come up very often, so don't miss out!
