Solid Carrera marble dining table inspired by Mario Bellini's 'Il Colonnato' table for Cassina. This example was produced in Italy in the 1980s and retailed through Bloomingdales in New York City. It features a round, solid marble top with a smooth, rounded edge, and sits atop three solid marble columns which make up the base. The base and the top are stabilized via a round steel plate which ingeniously locks the pieces together. The Carrera marble features lovely veining with swirls of gray and a little bit of gold mixed in as well. The table was taken very good care of and is in great vintage condition. There are some very minor cosmetic scratches to the table top, though nothing distracting whatsoever. One column has a shallow chip at the very bottom where it hits the floor (see second to last photo)--it is not distracting at all and essentially blends in. Otherwise, this table is solid as can be and built to last. It looks good with literally everything.
