An absolutely stunning and super uncommon lounge chair by Michael Van Beuren for Muebles, Mexico, circa 1940s. Solid wood construction with woven palm. The chair has been lightly refinished and waxed and is in beautiful vintage condition. It still retains some lovely patina and cosmetic character, as seen in photos. Some sagging to the natural fiber seat, though it is still totally strong, and the chair is sturdy and solid as can be. A truly beautiful piece of Mexican modern design, by a bauhaus trained designer. We have added custom feather down seat and back cushions in a beautiful, neutral silk and linen blend. The chair is extremely comfortable!
