Paul Frankl 'Model 5016' cork and mohogany coffee table, manufactured by Johnson Furniture in 1948. This early piece is in wonderful original condition. the Mahogany is a lovely reddish brown color and has only very light, nominal cosmetic wear. The cork top is in stunning original condition with the original white paint which over the years has patina-ed beautifully. One tiny chip to the cork on the top of the table, about the size of a pencil eraser--not distracting at all (can be seen in photo). An ideal collector's example with just the right amount of patina. The table is extremely solid and sturdy. It is perfect as a low style coffee table, or could also be used as a bench.
