A sculptural masterpiece by acclaimed American studio craft artist David Ebner. Crafted of solid Afromosia wood, this highly sculpted console table showcases Ebner's top-tier technique, featuring finely sculptured elements from top to bottom. Elegant splayed "wishbone" legs and complex joinery appear to melt into the, curvy, angular table top creating a highly unusual and sophisticated form which pays homage to Wharton Esherick and Wendell Castle. This rare piece was commissioned by the original owner in 1990 and is signed on the underside with artist initials and date: "D.N.E. 90".
The table is in lovely original condition with light cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. It is structurally perfect, solid and sturdy as day one. While you can commission a new version of this table from the artist, this is only true vintage example of this design that we have been able to find.
Professional refinishing available for an additional cost.
