A stunning original 1950s example of Finn Juhl's cocktail bench for Bovirke in teak with modular cushions upholstered in Alexander Girard 'Miller Stripe' fabric for Maharam. Gorgeous condition. The wood has been lightly refinished to bring back its natural luster, but not as to disturb the patina. The top is flanked by two solid brass edges. 70 years of fabulous patina to the brass. The legs and under-frame are composed of patinated steel. The tip of the legs are solid teak.
This is a superbly versatile piece, perfect against a wall as a modular bench, at the end of a bed, or remove the cushions to use as a cocktail table, or with the cushions as a hybrid ottoman/table.
Cushions are brand new, upholstered in $142/yard Alexander Girard fabric. The pop of color juxtaposes beautifully with the more industrial feel of the bench and totally softens the vibe.
