A fabulous "Cattail" lamp designed by California designer, Bill Curry, in the 1960s for Design Line. This whimsical table lamp, or small floor lamp, features brightly colored wooden "cattails" which float atop steel wire rods. The rods connect to a heavy iron base which is crowned with a cylindrical plastic diffuser. A signature red switch pops against the black iron base. This playful lamp is a perfect representation of Curry's design style which intuitively mixed elements of pop art, space age, and 70s California aesthetics. Original label to bottom,
