A sculptural and voluptuous pair of lounge chairs by Austrian designer Ernst Schwadron, designed in the 1940s and produced in the workshop of Vladimir and Illi Kagan in New York. The sculpted form is reminiscent of designs by Gio Ponti and early Fritz Hansen pieces. Characteristics include smooth contoured backs, dramatic angled arms, thick feather down seats cushions, and Schwadron's iconic curved tapered legs. These details give the chairs tons of movement and they almost look like they're reaching out to embrace you. Comfort level is sublime - you will not be disappointed. The chairs have been beautifully recovered in a 100% Italian wool in mango yellow. They are in fantastic condition, ready for a high end interior.
