Designed by George Nakashima for the Widdicomb Origins line in 1959, this is the 253-W Chair, one of Nakashima's rare upholstered designs. Nakashima's distinct American Craft style with traditional Japanese joinery has been embraced for generations with many museum exhibits dedicated to his pieces. This is a great everyday slipper chair that can be used with abandon, as Nakashima always wanted his furniture to be used. This chair is in its original upholstery fabric with walnut legs and base.
