Sculpture meets chair in this one-of-a-kind studio crafted lounge from the 1960s. This long, low, beaut was crafted in solid old-growth, stack laminated walnut and meticulously sculpted to create an utterly voluptuous and organic form. The exterior is curvy and undulating from every angle, and even more incredible, a human form has been sculpted into the seat and back of the chair. Choice woods were hand selected for this piece, as evidenced in the deep red coloring, the smooth knots, and the swirling grain. This piece was an undeniable labor or love and an ode to the craft. Reminiscent of work by JB Blunk and Wendell Castle. This one-of-a-kind conversation starter will instantly add organic modernist dimension to your space. Weighs around 200lbs.
