An exceptionally rare Mexican modernist articulating chaise lounge by bauhaus trained designer Michael van Beuren for Domus, circa 1940s. Solid teak and woven raffia. Chaise can lay flat, or the back can be raised, as well as the leg position. Chaise is in excellent condition. It has been lightly refinished to bring back it's original beauty, but not so much as to strip away all it's elegant patina. It is strong and sturdy - the woven raffia is incredibly strong. Perfect indoors with a shearling pelt or on a covered patio.
