Paul Laszlo rare and unique curved settee, privately commissioned for actor Cameron Mitchell in the 1950s. Only 2 of these settees have come to market, neither of which had the extraordinary back design of this example. The frame is solid aluminum, masterfully shaped and welded. A beaded construction ingeniously holds the back elements together and adds incredible flair. This piece is stunning from every single angle, unlike anything you've seen before in the way of furniture. We have paired the gray aluminum frame with a vibrant red cotton velvet by Dedar Milano. The industrial nature of the frame, and the soft luxury of the velvet play harmoniously together, and the ornate back design really pops against the red, like artwork on a canvas.
