A vintage and incredibly unique California redwood stump chair. This petite, heavy duty chair features a crude, modernist aesthetic which transports you back to 1970s Big Sur. It definite gives off JB Blunk vibes.
As for the construction, a solid, angular redwood hunk forms the base of the chair, while a thick square slab acts as the seat, and a fabulous hand-hewn slab is joined with dowels to act as the back rest. The smooth, weathered surface of the chair gives it a raw, primitive feel which will add a calming, organic touch to your space. The chair is constructed without any hardware. It is solid and sturdy as can be, and actually quite comfortable. It would be perfect as an accent chair or table, in an entryway, or sitting pretty in a garden. Its past life was spent outside in a courtyard.
