Robert Venturi "Grandma" sofa designed for Knoll in the 1980s. This wonderful example has been fully restored, reupholstered in a luxurious pumpkin orange mohair with two heavy duty seat cushions. The sofa's soft, rounded form combined with heirloom quality construction allows for total comfort and luxuriousness. It is an extremely heavy duty piece which can be climbed all over without budging a millimeter. Venturi's design for this sofa was influenced by Jean Royere's "Ours Polaire" sofa, and it is easy to see clear parallels.
