A beautiful pair of outdoor "Amalfi" benches designed by Mario Papperzini and manufactured by John Salterini in the 1960s. The benches feature wrought iron construction with hand tooled details, hand hammered ball finials, and woven lattice seats. The construction is top tier, which is why these pieces are considered amongst the finest in outdoor and garden seating. Both benches retain the original forest green paint, which makes them all the more special. The paint shows lots of imperfections, scratches, soft oxidation and patina, but that's what you want on these pieces, and it provides an absolutely striking, one-of-a-kind allure. This design will never go out of style, and the benches are ready for another 60 years of life.
Aside from the obvious cosmetic patina and wear, these heavy duty pieces are as strong and solid as day one, without any issues.
For an additional cost, we can make custom cushions in any fabric of your choosing.
If you're interested in additional pieces, these chairs are part of a larger set which includes a sofa, a pair of lounge chairs (which match the benches), and a stool.
