A unique and impressive California studio craft sofa circa 1970s. The sofa features a thick, solid claro walnut frame with exposed lap joints and dowels on the front and back sides. All the joinery is executed masterfully and the wood grain is fiery and brilliant. The cushions have been reimagined in a vibrant and soft-as-can-be red cashmere velvet by Holly Hunt. While the sofa resembles pieces by Arthur Espenet Carpenter and Gerald Mccabe, it apears unsigned. Fully restored and ready for use.
