A lovely pair of lounge chairs by T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings for Widdicomb circa 1950s. These stunning beauties boast a totally sculptural frame with angular arms and thick spindled backs. Notice how the sculpted arms smoothly cascade down into the legs. The cushions are freshly reupholstered in a luxurious period-correct tweed with a fabulous nubby texture. The color, an almost sea foam green, contrasts beautifully against the warm wood frame. The frames show lots of delightful patina with a smooth, lovely finish. A couple minute dings and blemishes, but nothing nasty whatsoever. They were likely refinished in recent years by the original owners.
